Position Purpose

Coordinates stewardship, gift recording, donor relations, and other development operations activities that support and ensure successful engagement with prospective and current donors. Contributes to an outstanding Major Giving team that is integral to strengthening and sustaining Tuck’s distinct learning community that creates, teaches, and applies life-changing knowledge.

  • Proficient in using sophisticated business systems, preferably Advance, iModules, or other similar fund-raising and/or alumni engagement software. Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and tact.

Minimum Experience
  • Experience in coordinating office operations in a professional environment, preferably in a philanthropic or similar setting.
  • Experience providing task and project support to multiple colleagues in addition to a formal supervisor.
  • Experience contributing to a high performing team.
Minimum Education

Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities
  • Supports Stewardship Officer with stewardship projects. Prepares for mailing and sends gift acknowledgement letters; orders and sends recognition gifts to donors; updates stewardship and recognition activity in systems and reports; and responds to routine questions, escalating inquiries as appropriate. Updates and maintains donor recognition campus signage.
  • Sends pledge and payment reminders to donors; updates pledge and gift activity in systems and reports; processes payments by phone; and prepares received gifts and gift agreements for recording by Dartmouth gift recording office.
  • Supports Donor Relations Officers in conducting prospect pool analysis and tracking ratings updates; updating major giving proposal monthly projections; scheduling and set-up of development staff meetings; and logistical planning and oversight of development meetings and events, briefing materials for prospect meetings and board meetings.
  • Assists with scheduling and confirming internal meetings; expense reports and other financial transactions; data entry and reporting; drafting, proofing, and producing emails, letters, documents, and presentations; and other related administrative tasks and projects.
  • Maintains a high touch service culture with emphasis on responsiveness to and support for donors, alumni and colleagues. Anticipates and acts on opportunities to exceed expectations in supporting the Major Giving team and Advancement leadership.
  • Contributes research, ideas, and coordination support to team plans and projects.
