This position is a 18-month term position. Position Purpose

To provide administrative support to the Grant Proposal Support (GrantGPS) Associate Directors and will facilitate access to grant opportunities and GrantGPS services for Dartmouth faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and grant managers.

Skills & Knowledge
  • Demonstrated excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with website maintenance
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Some experience with database administration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
Minimum Experience
  • 3 years of office or administrative experience.
  • Some knowledge of grant-writing, grant application process.
  • Experience working with faculty members.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities

General Administrative Assistance

  • Provides general administrative support for writing and reviewing grant documents.
  • Coordinates training/education programs, one-on-one consultations, and events.
  • Organizes and maintains tracking system for grant editing/review services, grant submissions and grant success rates.
  • Helps prepare quarterly reports of activity.
  • Maintains and updates GrantGPS website.
  • Provides faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and others with routine access to college-wide resources in support of the grantseeking and submission process, including administrative and professional-development activities.
  • Engages in initial research of opportunities for faculty.
  • Prepares and oversees the updating of marketing/promotional materials and items
  • Submits invoices for payment and may submit other material for processing.
  • Organizes and schedules meetings.
  • Maintains contact lists.
  • Orders and tracks office supplies.
