Position Purpose

To oversee and implement all facets of video production and editing needed for a Division 1 football program. The video coordinator plays a critical role in achieving the overall goals of the program by utilizing independent judgment and initiative to produce edited game and practice video to members of the coaching staff.

Skills & Knowledge
  • Knowledge of nonlinear editing techniques and equipment required. Must be both Mac and PC proficient.
  • Experience in either game analysis or video breakdown preferred. Must be able to work
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational independently and as a member of a team. skills, ability to multitask, work under pressure, and make sound independent decisions required.
Minimum Experience

One year experience in collegiate or professional sport video production and editing required, preferably in football. Experience as football participant or coach preferred.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities

Video Coordinator
Oversee the entire video organization and operation for the football program, including:

  • Video production and editing of all football practices, games, and other events when requested (interviews, instructional tapes, promotional tapes).
  • Produce opponent and self-scout tapes for football staff.
  • Maintain video library; respond to requests from the media and others for footage.
  • Produce annual video hi-light film.
  • Hire, train and supervise student assistants to film games and practices.
  • Perform periodic maintenance on equipment and schedule repairs.
  • Order and maintain related supplies (tapes, labels, batteries, cables).
  • Schedule use of audiovisual equipment and set-up equipment for presentations and meetings.
  • Represents Dartmouth, the athletic department, and the football program in an exemplary fashion.
