Position Purpose

Performs and coordinates academic and administrative activities for designated faculty members. Plans, develops, and manages classroom and event logistics, ensuring high-quality service to all constituencies and an optimal educational experience for students that is personal, connected, and transformative.

  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office; knowledge of web, databases, and learning management technology and a willingness and ability to learn additional software and technology.
  • Able to operate classroom and meeting room audio and visual systems.
  • Able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 lbs.

Minimum Experience
  • Solid experience providing administrative, project management, and/or event planning support in a professional environment with multiple supervisors or constituents, preferably in an academic setting.
  • Experience working as part of a collaborative service delivery or project management team.
  • Experience using audio/visual equipment, preferably in a classroom setting.
Minimum Education

Associate’s degree in business or a related field, or the equivalent in education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities
  • Coordinates teaching and grading activities: provides course delivery support using Canvas or other Learning Management Systems (LMS); prepares and distributes printed and online course materials (e.g., syllabi, handouts, etc.); records, calculates, reports, and retains student grades; coordinates grading schedules, meetings, and review sessions; and performs any other assignments and tasks that facilitate an optimal educational experience for students.
  • Assesses classroom audio-visual needs and prepares classroom: confirms computer projection systems are functioning; uploads presentations or other course materials. Contacts A/V support team for issues.
  • Provides administrative support to faculty and teaching assistants. Serves as initial point of contact and information source for inquiries; drafts and proofreads printed and digital materials; manages faculty calendars and contact files; makes travel arrangements; prepares expense reimbursements and purchasing card transactions; conducts book, journal, article, and citation information searches; updates and maintains faculty website profiles and biographies; coordinates scheduling and logistics for events, guest speakers, faculty candidates, and visitors; and maintains files, records, and archival materials.
  • Ensures compliance with Tuck and Dartmouth policies, procedures, protocols, and service standards. Provides orientation to faculty on Tuck and Dartmouth procedures and protocols.
  • Cultivates and models high touch service culture with emphasis on responsiveness to and support of faculty, teaching assistants, students, visitors, colleagues, and other constituencies. Anticipates and acts on opportunities to exceed expectations in supporting faculty, teaching assistants, students, visitors, colleagues, and others.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of school functions, operations, and activities that pertain to or affect the educational experience of students. Facilitates and fosters effective and timely communications and collaborations among faculty, students, alumni, and Tuck colleagues.
  • Proposes enhancements and efficiencies in supporting faculty and students.

Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others.
