This is a term position until August 31, 2018. Some evening and weekend work will likely be required. Position Purpose

To provide faculty members with coordination of and administrative support for disability-related testing adjustments.

Skills & Knowledge
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven administrative and organizational skills with particular attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish, administer and assess new procedures and goals.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills and ability to respond appropriately to pressures, deadlines and frequent changes in priorities and schedules.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook (e-mail and calendar) Word, OneNote and Excel.
  • Proficiency with maintaining and modifying websites, applicable to an assessment resources project.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence; proven effectiveness in serving the needs of a diverse undergraduate student population.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster positive and productive relationships with all campus constituencies, including students, faculty and staff.
  • Proven ability to interact with others with tact and diplomacy
  • Proven ability to exercise discretion and maintain student confidentiality.
  • Preferred: experience, proficiency with Qualtrics survey and assessment software tool.
Minimum Experience
  • 2 to 4 years of administrative experience in student affairs, an educational setting or the equivalent, preferred.

Testing Center Administration

  • In consultation with the Director, coordinates communications with selected instructors, academic department representatives, and participating students to develop a master assessment/testing schedule.
  • Prepares test administration guidelines and protocols as directed for the Director’s approval.
  • Prepares Assessment Resources information for constituents; may include development of a project website.
  • Administers course tests/assessment tools consistent with institutionally approved individual accommodations, faculty expectations, and federal ADA/504 compliance requirements. Works with instructors and academic department administrators to obtain assessment/testing materials. Works with instructors, academic department administrators, and Student Accessibility Services staff, to establish testing conditions.
  • Serves as the primary student contact for assessment administration and logistics. Maintains student confidentiality consistent with legal and institutional requirements.
  • Identifies challenges and issues for resolution by the Director and Student Affairs partners. Maintains comprehensive testing data for project assessment at the end of each term (Fall, 2017 and Winter, Spring, and Summer, 2018). Makes recommendations for near-term improvements as appropriate.
  • Prepares draft assessment materials for review.
