Position Purpose

To assist with preparation and delivery of a summer STEM workshop for college faculty to be held July 24-28, 2017.

Skills & Knowledge
  • Simple mechanical and electrical assembly skills (including soldering).
  • Some knowledge of systems engineering.
  • Knowledge of MATLAB.
  • Strong commitment to a diverse working environment and to serving the needs of a large and diverse community.
Minimum Experience
  • None required.
Minimum Education
  • Completion of first year in an undergraduate engineering curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricates and assembles mechanical/electrical equipment.
  • Assists with the development of learning activities using the equipment.
  • Assists with workshop activities during the week of the workshop.
  • Documents (photographs, video, audio) learning activities and mechanical/electrical test equipment.
-- Performs other duties as assigned.
