Position Purpose

To work as a mobile recovery coach within the MySafeRx remote medication adherence monitoring platform for young adults with opioid use disorders prescribed buprenorphine. The MySafeRx platform is a novel method of remotely supervising self-administration of controlled medication to individuals with substance use disorders using a novel integration of several mobile technologies.

Minimum Experience
  • Previous experience supporting people with substance use disorders is preferred.
  • Experience with motivational interviewing is beneficial.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities

Communication

  • Regularly communicates with research staff.
  • Communicates with treatment program clinicians when needed.
  • Regularly communicates with people with an opioid use disorder in early recovery.

Follow the MySafeRx protocol:

  • Completes MySafeRx training process.
  • Engages with participants via videoconferencing during pre-determined days/times.
  • Records each interaction using standardized MySafeRx documentation.
  • Reaches out to prescribing physicians or treatment program clinicians if needed.
  • Reaches out to patients with mobile check-ins during weekends when assigned to cover shift.
  • Reports safety-related events to research staff and physicians in a timely fashion.
  • Attends weekly group supervision meetings.
