Position Purpose

To provide support in planning and implementing New Student Orientation programs.

Minimum Experience

• 2-3 years relevant experience.
• Student affairs experience preferred.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s degree.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities

• Supports the Associate Dean of Student Life and the New Student Orientation Program Coordinator in planning and implementing Orientation programs.
• Serves as Orientation liaison to academic departments and programs. Manages Orientation open house and local placement exam schedule, as well as coordinating communication around these events.
• Serves as liaison to campus and community departments and organizations participating in the Information Expo. Independently responsible for all aspects of event planning and event management on site.
• Manages other Orientation events as assigned.
• Monitors Orientation hotline/email account and Class Facebook page. Independently responds to inquiries and provides accurate information on behalf of campus departments. Promotes Orientation goals and objectives.
• Responds to student and family inquiries about arrival and Orientation plans.
• Serves on the Orientation Coordinators Committee and project working groups as assigned.
