Position Purpose

Develops, plans, implements, and directs strategies, initiatives, services, and activities that engage Tuck alumni with the school and with one another. Explores innovative ways to integrate alumni into Tuck’s distinctly personal, connected, and transformative learning community that creates, teaches, and applies life-changing knowledge.

• Able to travel domestically and internationally.

Minimum Experience

• Extensive experience and demonstrated success in a graduate school alumni relations leadership position, or similarly sophisticated constituent engagement role at a preeminent organization.
• Demonstrated excellence as a team leader, contributor, and role model.

Minimum Education

• Master’s degree, preferably in business, or the equivalent in education and experience.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities

• Develops, proposes, implements, and leads Tuck’s alumni engagement strategies, plans, and operations in collaboration with Advancement and other Tuck leaders, and alumni relations and development team members.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of MBA recruitment, admissions, curriculum, experiential learning programs, student career development offerings, and other pertinent school activities.
• Prepares and delivers compelling proposals to Tuck leadership and other key constituencies that identify and prioritize new alumni engagement opportunities.
• Develops marketing and communications strategies and plans in consultation with the Communications Office that inspire, mobilize, and sustain alumni engagement and philanthropic support. Key partner in myTuck alumni website and other alumni content distribution.
• Creates and analyzes statistical reports to evaluate and refine alumni engagement strategies and programs, utilizing a robust alumni database and in partnership with business analyst colleagues.
• Determines and defines direction of alumni events, partnering as needed with development and other colleagues to ensure optimal allocation of resources.
• Supports the work of Tuck’s advisory boards through partnership on planning and executing domestic and international board meetings.
• Hires, trains, and leads alumni relations team members in consultation with Executive Director and Tuck Talent Management Office.
• Cultivates, models, and nurtures high touch service culture with emphasis on responsiveness to and support of alumni and associated constituencies.
• Designs, leads, and refines processes and procedures with team input. Articulates and is accountable for relevant policies, practices, and performance standards.
• Ensures compliance with legal, financial, professional, institutional policies, regulations, guidelines, procedures, and standards of practice.
• Prepares and manages budgets, including expense projection, tracking, and approval.
• Represents team on institutional committees, working groups, and task forces.
• Engages with relevant alumni affairs associations and peer groups to maintain beneficial relationships and knowledge of worthwhile trends and innovations.
